Decisions & Discernment
Each August, several hundred Quakers from throughout New England gather to discern God's guidance and to make decisions on behalf of our regional faith communities. These meetings for business are called our "Annual Sessions." Several times throughout the year, a smaller group of appointed Friends—the Permanent Board—meets to make decisions on behalf of New England Quakers.
Below are the Minutes—records of discernment and decisions—from both Annual Sessions and meetings of the Board. Together, these documents constitute the formal governance records of New England Yearly Meeting of Friends. (Note: Annual Sessions minutes are dated for the last day of that year's gathering.)
