JHYM is a safe, inclusive, and joy-filled program for Quaker sixth, seventh and eighth graders in New England Yearly Meeting of Friends. In everything that we do, we strive to see that of God and be in community with each other. In addition to our program at NEYM’s annual Sessions (the first week of August), six weekend retreats are held between September and June in various locations around New England. These provide rare opportunities for Quaker middle schoolers to be part of a thriving spiritual community throughout the year.
We are always looking for appropriate, grounded, and loving adults to join us on staff at JHYM Retreats. If you love being with young people, have a good sense of humor, a willing heart, a reasonable back, and don’t mind sleeping short hours on (mostly) hard floors be in touch with me! Our staffers are a remarkable crew of Friends with a variety of gifts and spiritual journeys who help to create JHYM's dynamic intergenerational community.
