New England Yearly Meeting offers about three retreats a year that are specifically for young adults ages 18 to 35. These "YAF" retreats serve as a place for both young adults new to the Religious Society of Friends and those who have been raised Quaker to explore young adult life phase through a Quaker lens.
At each retreat we explore a theme that connects in some way to our spiritual lives. At retreats we try to offer a balance of structured program that allows people to explore the retreat theme and worship together, as well as free time for hanging out and relaxing. Returning participants often take on various leadership roles such as facilitating small groups, leading parts of program, and teaching songs.
