Living Faith Gatherings
"Living Faith”—What's This All About?
Living Faith is a day-long "meeting for learning" gathering of Friends from throughout New England. The event is a chance for 100+ Friends to worship together, learn more about the Quaker tradition, share the different ways we experience and live our faith, and build spiritual community.
This year our theme will be “Spring forth the well: our lives as witness”. The next Living Faith will be held on March 28, 2026, at Friends School of Portland. You can learn more about the day, workshops, and register here.
For the past several years we have held a teen retreat in parallel with the Living Faith gathering and teens attended Living Faith as part of the weekend. This year we are expanding the offering to include a second weekend-long retreat for grades 5 through 7.
Both retreats will serve as a “move up” retreat for youth entering a new age group in the fall. Fifth-graders can get a taste for Junior High Yearly Meeting (JHYM) and 8th-graders can get a sneak peek into Young Friends (YFs). All retreat participants will still attend the Living Faith Gathering at Friends School of Portland on Saturday, March 28.
