Fall Gathering is a chance for Friends (members or attendees of monthly meetings) from around the north, central, and eastern part sof Maine, called the Vassalboro Quarter, to gather to feel spirit moving among a larger body. Unlike our other Quarterly Meetings, this one has no business meeting attached to the program day.
Friday Sept 11, 6:00 to8:30 p.m." Zoom gathering to reflect and share specifically how Love is prospering in our meetings, and how we as meetings are led by Spirit (sometimes through individuals) to be a blessing to the world. Links will be sent out to all on the VQM mailing list. If individuals wish to be added to this list, contact Holly Weidner.
Saturday Sept. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Friends Camp, China, Maine. Morning will have 2 or 3 worship-sharing sessions surrounding a reading or query drawn from three areas that rose up in New England Yearly Meeting sessions. Stay tuned for those prompts!
Lunch soups will be provided by Vassalboro Monthly Meeting; other meeting attenders are asked to contribute fruit or vegetable salads, breads, or desserts
1:30 to 3 p.m. Sharing of leadings around the quarter: Wabanaki, Earth care, International accompaniment, Blessed Community creation and maintenance; If anyone in your meeting wishes to share on one of these or other areas of leadings, please have them contact Holly Weidner, Fall Gathering organizer, to see how this time might be most usefully divided up.
Fall Gatherings are hosted by Vassalboro Monthly Meeting. Our next meeting for business for our quarter is Sat. November 7, with Acadia Friends hosting.
