Details
Starting in the quiet of winter, New England Yearly Meeting’s ARCH (Aging Resources Consultation and Help) program brings you its online 3-part Advance Planning workshop series.
Workshops will be held over Zoom on January 22, January 29, and February 5 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Each workshop will be an opportunity to clarify your goals and to talk with your chosen partners about assisting you through serious illness and deathcare.
Older adults, parents with children at home, and everyone over the age of 18 - all need plans and all are welcome. Sickness or disability can occur at any age. Take this opportunity to start or continue to develop your plans now. You can attend by yourself, but you can also bring along your support person/people - your healthcare proxy, loved ones and friends. Local Quaker Meetings can support their members by joining as a group.
January 22nd: The first workshop will be informational.
January 29th: The second will provide opportunities to hold conversations about your serious illness planning with your chosen supporters.
February 5th: The last will focus on conversations about your deathcare planning.
Recommended: bring a copy of Quaker Values & End-of-Life Decision Making Workbook, available at https://nyym.org/arch/decision-making-workbook.
Program is led by Patti Muldoon, ARCH Coordinator and End-of-Life Doula. Please contact Patti with questions, concerns or recommendations
This workshop is offered on a pay-as-led (sliding scale) basis. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
This program is made possible with support from New England Yearly Meeting and the Friends Foundation for the Aging.
Registration will open in early December.
