The Legacy Gift Committee of New England Yearly Meeting has announced the spring 2020 grants for the NEYM Witness and Ministry Fund.
Brianna Halliwell, Vassalboro Friends Meeting: To release Briana to follow the leading of Spirit calling her to embark on an experiential apprenticeship that will allow her to sharpen her understanding of herself and the nature of her healing ministry as it pertains to the art of ReMembering. Grant: $10,000
Mary McKenna, Storrs Friends Meeting: For a multicultural book project for children aged 4 to 10, demonstrating Quaker values as they align with Buddhist/Hindu practice. Grant: $9,250
Theresa Oleksiw, Portland Monthly Meeting: Continuing the “Snap Reboot” ministry to gather and share the stories of Maine residents experiencing poverty and food insecurity. Grant: $7,000
John Rider, Mattapoisett Meeting: For his educational project, "Doing Right by the Right Whale." Grant: $2,500
