Noah Bishop Merrill, General Secretary for New England Yearly Meeting of Friends will bring the 2026 Perkins Family Lecture For the Sake of the Joy: Meetings, Pilgrimage, and the Re-Olding of Quakerism at the Earlham School of Religion (Richmond, IN) and online.
Noah Bishop Merrill is a recorded Friends minister under the oversight and care of Putney Friends Meeting in southern Vermont. He carries a concern for the encouragement of Friends called to gospel ministry, and for the thriving of covenant communities sharing the pilgrimage of faith in the Friends tradition.
The Quaker Leadership Center, a ministry of Earlham School of Religion (ESR), is the host for this event.
The Oversight Committee for the Ministry of Noah Bishop Merrill, appointed by Putney Friends Meeting, invites Friends to join us in holding Noah in prayer as he prepares to speak in the Perkins Family Lecture Series at Earlham School of Religion this spring. Noah’s ministry extends beyond his role as Secretary of NEYM, and our committee felt led to invite Friends to join us both in prayer and, if they are able, in attending the lecture online. Friends may also wish to gather in their local meetings to experience Noah’s ministry together as it is streamed online, and to reflect together afterward.
