Explore the Quaker way: read about the basics of our faith, find answers to common questions and find a Quaker meeting near you.
Quakerism is a lived faith. Encourage the active interplay between the inward and outward journeys. There is no easy division between the inward listening for God and the outward witness and service called forth by Spirit. One enhances and gives rise to the other.
Be intentional about bridging between the inward and outward journeys. Make space for reflection after a service project or a vigil. It could be as simple as a few questions in the car on the way home. Did you sense "that of God" in another person? Could you see love at work in outward ways?
Listen for spiritual movement within your child that may manifest as an intention to help in the world. Can you honor that and find a way to live into it, together? Hold the question, "How can we be God's hands and voice in the world?' together.
