Negro Students in Friends Schools

Jun 17, 1953

“Harold N. Burnham asked what activities in Quaker schools tend to foster the interest in peace and international relations, also in the Meetings for Worship. Concrete methods were given by Marion Cole [head of Lincoln School] and Dorothy Gifford. Some discussion followed by Cecil Hinshaw and others on the subject of admitting colored students, with apparent clearance in the schools for Negro students who qualify.”
