JHYM Program for 2022 Sessions

JHYM is a place where everyone is intentionally part of the circle.

JHYM is for young people who are going into 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in September.

During our time together we will nurture the Light in ourselves and in each other within our joyful, inclusive, and loving community. We will sing, laugh, play games, talk and listen, worship, create art, go to a state park lake, and hang out. After two years on screens, we are looking forward to sharing a special week together in 3D.

COVID has taught us a lot about what we need and what it means to belong. Whether you have been participating online, only come to the in-person events this winter and spring, or not done much at all with Quakers during the pandemic, we hope you will come. If you've never been to Sessions, we hope you'll come! We are a wiser, sillier, and more interesting group of people with you. We would love for you to be part of us.

Our staff are people who love supporting and being in community with middle-schoolers. Our roster is still building but will include Anne Anderson, Buddy Baker-Smith, Steve Ball, Dave Baxter, Merritt Bussiere-Nichols, and Emily Edwards.

If you have questions or concerns before NEYM, please be in touch with me. I hope you have wonderful summers until we see each other at Castleton. Until then, remember that you are beautiful and loved!
