How We Win: A Workshop on Nonviolent Direct Action
In this participatory workshop led by George Lakey, a social movement veteran and the author of the new book How We Win: A Guide to Nonviolent Direct Action Campaigning, participants will explore how to use nonviolent direct action campaigns strategically, including:
- choosing the right target
- designing a creative campaign
- avoiding burnout within your group
- building a movement of movements to achieve real progressive victories.
Bring some food to share at a potluck lunch at noon or simply arrive by 1 p.m. for the workshop. Light snacks will be provided, and copies of the book will be available for sale.
This event is sponsored by New Bedford Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
A suggested donation of $20 is to cover the cost of the workshop. Advance registration is required.
