Good Friday Witness for Peace
Please consider attending this year's Good Friday Witness for Peace, held annually since the early 1960s
This year we will hold the Meeting for Worship from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., starting at the Beacon Hill Friends House. At 11:00 a.m., the Meeting for Worship will move down to the Boston Common (getting to the Tremont Street sidewalk between the Park Street MBTA station and the Boston Common Visitors Center at about 11:15), remaining there as a silent vigil until 1:00 p.m., and then returning to the Beacon Hill Friends House to close the Meeting for Worship at about 1:30. We will then share a meal of soup and bread.
All are invited to come for all or any part of the gathering. Those standing on the Common will have the opportunity to hold banners or signs or to hand out the leaflets we are preparing for the event. For further information, please contact members of the Friends Meeting at Cambridge Peace and Social Justice Committee or send an email.
