Young Adult Friends Spring Retreat & Living Faith Trip
Join fellow Friends (and Quaker curious-seekers) between ages 18-35 for a weekend of connection, learning, and fellowship.
We are trying something new! This spring, we are encouraging more young adult participation in Living Faith which is a one-day all-ages gathering featuring workshops, fellowship, and worship for Quakers from across New England.
On Friday April 5th young adults (ages 18-35) who are seeking more time to connect with peers in the Quaker movement can gather at Allen's Neck Meeting (Dartmouth, MA) for fellowship, connective activities, small group sharing, and sleeping over on the meetinghouse floor.
On Saturday April 6th after a simple breakfast we'll carpool over to the Living Faith gathering with 100+ Friends of all ages for a day of community building, experiential learning and worship. In the late afternoon we will pack up again and go to New Bedford, MA for a walking tour of local Quaker history and as well as history of the abolition movement in the area. This will be followed by dinner at an all ages Quaker potluck. After this, we will gather for another night of young adult only fellowship at a church in New Bedford and do some small group sharing and relaxing. On Sunday morning we will be worshipping with New Bedford Friends.
This retreat is for young adults (ages 18-35) who are Quaker or who want to explore the Quaker way. Young Adult Friends (YAF) retreats are are oppurtunity to "try on" Quaker spiritual practices, to connect with peers in the Quaker movement, to enjoy time spent in fun & worshipful togetherness, and to deepen our spiritual friendships with one another.
Registration ends March 31th.
