Young Adult Friends Retreat: Rising to meet our callings across the spectrum of activism
If the world around us is urging us to act, what do we do?
Do we march and protest?
Do we pray?
Do we join existing organizations?
Do we donate time or money?
There are many ways to respond across the spectrum of activism to the needs of the world as we each see them. During a weekend-long retreat, we will have opportunities to dialogue together -- and we believe that, from these opportunities to learn from and teach one another, we will each see how we can rise up and act individually and collectively.
We invite you to join us in rising to answer the call of action across the spectrum of activism.
At retreats for young adult Friends (aka YAFs; people in the 18-35 age range), we join together in fellowship around a particular theme. There are opportunities for worship, small group workshops, full-group programs, delicious meals, sleeping in the Quaker meetinghouse with other Friends, playing games, and much more. The cost is a sliding scale of $0-$60 -- pay what you can, and please don't let cost be a barrier! We hope you will join us.
