Explore the Quaker way: read about the basics of our faith, find answers to common questions and find a Quaker meeting near you.
Salem Quarterly Meeting
Join Salem Quarter Friends Sunday, October 22 at Framingham Friends Meeting. Our program will explore an idea that has been rising in the quarter—forming a Salem Quarter Outreach Collaborative. Come hear:
- brief updates on current outreach initiatives from some of our meetings
- a presentation by Emily Provance (15th Street Meeting, New York Yearly Meeting) on her research using Facebook Ads for Quaker meetings
- explore forming an outreach collaborative to help us work together more intentionally, more effectively, and with greater impact.
Many meetings in the quarter have been active in raising the public profile of their meetings and building their capacity to welcome, orient, and engage newcomers. Come share what you are doing or come to see what is possible if you are just getting started. We’ll have a Show-and-Tell Table so bring pictures of your new sign, new materials you have created, or outlines of a program for Quaker Basics that worked especially well. Let’s learn together, encourage each other, and celebrate the gift of Quakerism we have to share!
