Friends Camp has made the difficult decision to cancel 2020 summer sessions. If you missed the previous announcement and would like to learn more, you can read here.
Over the past month, we have carefully considered what Friends Camp could bring to our community that could be of use. Of course, any gatherings Friends Camp is able to host this summer cannot be in person. With the sadness of losing a camp season together on China Lake, we saw an opening for something we have not done before: gather together people of all ages and connections to camp as one large community. We will connect about things that matter, have fun, and celebrate the power of camp in our lives.
We seek to make this session for everybody in our camp community.
Who is "everybody"? Current campers, current camp families, camp alums, camp grandparents, little-camper siblings, Friends and Quakers, and more!
What will we do? Morning programs, electives, evening programs, do-along-from-home activities, and more.
There will be opportunities to do meaningful work and take action, as well as opportunities to connect, and to be silly.
