Experience Playing in the Light

An introduction to the Faith & Play and Godly Play religious education method
June 10, 2020
7:00 p.m to 8:30 p.m.

Come learn about Godly Play and Faith & Play, an experiential, Montessori-inspired approach to religious education designed for children ages 3–12. Friends use these methods to explore stories from the Bible as well as about our Quaker faith. This powerful way of being with children can transform your First Day School program and nurture your family’s spiritual life.

Faith & Play Stories co-creator and accredited Godly Play trainer Melinda Wenner Bradley will facilitate this 90-minute introductory workshop. In the workshop, participants will:

  • Learn about the Faith & Play and Godly Play method and stories
  • Experience an interactive story circle
  • Connect with other Quaker religious educators from across New England

Please register for this free online workshop by June 8th by filling out this form.

Flexible participation available: While we encourage “live” participation, we understand it may not be possible for everyone, especially parents managing bedtime. If you cannot attend at 7 p.m. on June 10th but would like to experience this workshop, please register and indicate you would like to participate via the recording and we will send you the link to watch at your convenience.

We hope this introductory workshop will build interest for upcoming and future full-length Playing in the Light trainings for New England Friends interested in using Godly Play and Faith & Play in their meetings.
