Saturday, March 7– If you are coming from a distance, or would just like to wake up near Burlington, come Saturday! There will be a place on the registration form to indicate that you’d like overnight accommodations.
Sunday, March 8 – All activities take place at Burlington Friends Meetinghouse.
9:15–10:30 Program: description follows
11:00–noon Meeting for Worship
12:15–1:00 p.m. Soup lunch
1:00–3:00 Meeting for Business
Program: Burlington Friends in Africa
We will be discussing the American Friends Service Committee’s project of “No Way to Treat a Child.” In the interest of informing this discussion, we have asked our Friend Laurie Gagne to present on her recent experiences in Palestine, rather than on her work in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We understand from Friends that Laurie has a very powerful presentation on the West Bank, including wonderful photographs, that should be quite relevant to our “No Way to Treat a Child” discussion.
For children: We will provide childcare for young children and a program for older children.
Registration: There are three ways to register!
2. Email Holly Gorton:([email protected]). Tell her who’s coming, whether you need hospitality and any special requirements for that hospitality (for example pet allergies, problems with stairs, etc.), what meals you’ll be eating with us, whether you have dietary requirements, and ages of any children. OR
3. Print the hardcopy registration form (attached below), fill it out, and mail it to Holly Gorton, 11 Varney Rd., Jericho, VT 05465
