Faith and Practice
NEYM’s Faith and Practice is a written witness to the lived faith of Quakers in New England from across the ages. It serves as both a devotional resource and a handbook of procedures and practices useful to meetings.
Faith and Practice Present…
The 1985 Faith and Practice is available for free online and in a hardbound book, offered at a significant discount for NEYM meetings.
Ours is a living tradition, and our Yearly Meeting Community regularly reviews Faith and Practice to reflect our evolving understandings of faithful practice and experience of the Divine.
The Faith and Practice Revision Committee was appointed in 2001 to revise the 1985 edition and posts draft chapters of their work on committee page. Of note are appendices offering advice on subjects of importance to local meetings, such as records, marriages, death and dying, pastoral care and recognition of gifts and leadings.
