Friday: Great Meetinghouse & Early Arrivals

New England Yearly Meeting 2011 Annual Sessions officially begins tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 6 to Thursday, Aug 11 at Bryant University), but Friends are already gathering today. Nearly 200 are coming to celebrate the Yearly Meeting's 350th birthday in a special visit to the Great Meetinghouse in Newport, Rhode Island, the historic home of NEYM for hundreds of years. 

Others will arrive at Bryant Friday night to begin serving the community Saturday morning as Sessions staff, volunteers, or members of Permanent Board and Ministry & Counsel.

Check-In on Friday, August 5th is from 8:00 to 10:00pm in the Hall 16 lobby. Look for directional signs (see campus map). If you cannot arrive during these hours, please inform the registrar in advance or call the NEYM Office 508-754-6760. • No Walk-On Friday registrations!
• Only members of Young Friends Ministry & Counsel may stay in the Young Friends Dorm on Friday night. Other Young Friends must be accompanied by their parent(s) or sponsor and will be housed with them on Friday night.
