A Special Welcome to Families with Young Children
Our hope is to create an instant neighborhood feeling in the cluster of Townhouses where the families with young children will most likely be staying. Social gatherings, story time, and art projects could be important in our neighborhood-building process. We’ll help Friends to know who is living where and fold into the mix a few grandparents and older Friends who can add experience at enjoying Sessions, a good-natured perspective on parenting, and even some extra fun from time to time.
Our dream is to stir up some magic and create the best possible conditions for the gifts of community to emerge among us even in our short time together. We'd love to bring some "content" down to the parents supervising early bedtimes. How about a loosely and lightly-structured Parent Conversation one or more nights? A Story Hour? A chat about Worship and Children with fun experiential exercises you can try at Meeting or at home?
Let’s begin building our neighborhood in conversation now! Send your ideas and hopes to Beth Collea at cecoord@neym.org and we’ll bear it all in mind as we set the stage for our special week together at Sessions. Don't forget to invite another family to come with you.
